Tartan Touch hub applications now open for 2019

20 Dec 2018

Scottish Rugby is inviting applications from rugby clubs to become Tartan Touch hubs for 2019, as the popular social version of non-contact rugby returns for its third year.

2019 is scheduled to be the biggest edition so far, with the number of regional hubs increasing from 30 to 40 around the country. Tartan Touch is a tool to further enhance the social vibrancy of your club and encourage new members to join.

Last year’s hubs ranged from Annan in the west, Kelso in the south, all the way to Shetland in the north. The popular version of the game, which was enjoyed by 2,512 participants in 2018, will run over 10 weeks during the summer months, starting in May.

Becoming a hub is FREE and gives clubs the ability to create a sustainable and innovative revenue stream, outside of the traditional methods.

Tartan Touch is a game which can be enjoyed by both male and female participants of all ages, allowing clubs the opportunity to attract new players, volunteers and social members throughout the summer.

Each successful hub will get over £1,000 worth of kit and equipment to run their Tartan Touch sessions as well as support from our designated operational team.

If you would like to apply to become a Tartan Touch hub, then you can get further information and support by clicking HERE

Clubs that have applied and are successful with their applications will be notified in January 2019.
