Are you ready for another weekend of grassroots rugby? We are! Here’s everything you need to know about what’s coming up on Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 October.

It’s time for Round 5 in the men’s Tennent’s Premiership league.

Aberdeen Grammar will venture south to Stoneyhill, looking to walk away with their first win of the season against Musselburgh.

After postponement due to covid-19 last weekend, Currie Chieftans and Selkirk return to action against Edinburgh Acies and GHA respectively.

And elsewhere in the competition, it’s east versus west as Hawick welcome Glasgow Hawks and tope of the table Marr host Jed-Forest.

Turning to the men’s Tennent’s National 1 competition, Cartha Queen’s Park and Dundee return to action after covid-19 postponed their fixture last weekend. The teams will face Watsonian’s and Highland respectively.

Ayr will welcome Kelso to Millbrae, both looking to edge themselves closer to the top spot as the teams currently hold 14 points each in the table standings, and Heriot’s Blues will make their way to Bridgehaugh to take on Stirling Wolves.

Elsewhere in the competition, Biggar will face table-toppers Melrose and Gala will welcome Boroughmuir to Netherdale.

All games in the Tennent’s Premiership and National 1 leagues are set to kick off at 3pm on Saturday 2 October.

Kicking-off their fifth round of competition is the women’s Tennent’s National 1 league.

Just three fixtures will take place in this league this weekend as Howe of Fife concede a 28-0 victory to Stewartry with insufficient player numbers.

Annan Warriors will venture across to Poynder Park to face Kelso, looking to lock in their first win of the season.

Broughton and Ayr will welcome West of Scotland and Garioch respectively.
