Tennent’s Men’s Premiership

It’ll be an important week for both teams when Heriot’s Blues take the short trip to face second-in-the-table Currie.

Currie endured a devastating single-point defeat last weekend against Edinburgh Accies, who managed to steal the win with 22 points to Currie’s 21.

Despite earning a commendable 33 points, Heriot’s Blues didn’t manage to match their visitors’ Marr’s 43.

Glasgow Hawks will be looking to continue their winning ways this week when they welcome Jed-Forest to Balgray.

In last weekend’s intense Glasgow derby, Glasgow Hawks managed to make up for their previous week’s loss against GHA by trumping their neighbours 20-29.

Jed-Forest unfortunately suffered another defeat against familiar faces when they hosted Selkirk last Friday evening (36-10).

Edinburgh Accies will be looking to make an impact against league-leaders Hawick when they travel to the borders this weekend.

A smug one-point win last Saturday over Currie will surely put a spring in the capital-based outfit’s step.

Despite facing bottom-of-the-table Musselburgh last weekend, Hawick walked away with only a six-point advantage on their hosts (14-20).

Hawick RFC v Edinburgh Accies – Mansfield Park, 2pm

Marr and GHA, who currently sit sixth and seventh on the league table respectively, are set to face each other at Fullarton Park.

Last weekend, Marr got a reminder of what it feels like to win when they came out on top against their hosts Heriot’s Blues, grabbing a convincing victory of 33-43.

GHA weren’t so lucky in their neck of the woods when the Glasgow derby played in their neighbours’ – Glasgow Hawks’ – favour (20-29).

Marr RFC v GHA RFC – Fullarton Park, 2pm

Selkirk will be looking to continue their victory streak, and this time in front of a home crowd, when they welcome Musselburgh to Philiphaugh.

The borders team added a third win to their repertoire last Saturday when they picked up a healthy 28-19 success over their hosts Jed-Forest.

Despite suffering another loss, Musselburgh were left with only a six-point deficit on their visitors Hawick, who currently sit top of the league (14-20).

Tennent’s Men’s National League Division 1

After securing a win by the skin of their teeth last weekend against Ayr, table leaders Kelso travel up north to face Aberdeen Grammar.

With both teams scoring exactly 21 points last weekend, it’s all to play for when Ayr host Highland.

Supporters should expect a heated encounter this Saturday after both Dundee and Biggar bagged impressive victories last weekend.

GHK and Stewart’s Melville will be looking to use their disappointing results from last weekend to inspire success for their sides.

After both claimed colossal scores against their visitors last Saturday, it’ll be an intense clash from start to finish when Melrose host Stirling County.

With both teams experiencing defeats last week, Watsonians and Gala will be looking to put more points under their names when the latter travels to the capital.
