Find out all you need to know ahead of another weekend of Tennent's Women's Premiership.
This preview is accurate as of 4pm on Friday 9 December 2022. Due to current and forecasted temperatures, matches may be postponed after Sunday morning pitch inspections.
It’s the penultimate week of Tennent’s Women’s Premiership matches before Christmas and the action begins with Corstorphine Cougars versus Stirling County RFC at Union Park.
The Cougars had fantastic success last weekend when they welcomed Cartha Queen’s Park to Union Park, boasting a 14-0 win to a home crowd. Stirling County are also coming off the back of a colossal win, where they beat Heriot’s Blues 41 points to 24 on the road. Last time the two sides met, the Cougars walked away with a seven-point advantage on their opponents.

This Sunday Heriot’s Blues will welcome Aberdeenshire-based team Garioch to Goldenacre.
Heriot’s Blues suffered a tough blow last weekend when Stirling County came to play, with their visitors walking away with a 24-41 win. Garioch will be looking forward to getting back on the field after a break last weekend. Will Garioch’s rest be what they need to get their first win of the season, or will Heriot’s loss last weekend light a winning fire?

Due to current and forecasted temperatures, Hillhead Jordanhill have declared Hughenden as unsuitable to play on this Sunday. The Hillhead Jordanhill v Cartha Queen’s Park match will be rescheduled in due course.
Although Stewartry have already claimed the National 1 title, it’ll be an exciting day for Stewartry and Biggar fans when the two face each other in the only Tennent’s Woman’s Nat 1 match this weekend. The teams will be going into this game with confidence and determination after they both experienced great wins over their opponents’ last weekend. They last met each other at the end of October where Stewartry proved too strong for the borders side, walking away with a 5-41 win.
