Players who hail from Edinburgh and Borders and East Lothian academy areas will be selected to represent Edinburgh Rugby whilst those from the Caledonia and Glasgow and the West areas will represent Glasgow Warriors.

Selected players will then get another opportunity to represent their respective pro-teams when they travel to Wales to face their Celts and Druids teams next weekend.

Much like the U20 Junior 1872 fixture that was held at Scotstoun in November, these two fixtures will act as a selection and identification matches for Scotland U18 camps before the national representative team take part in a Six Nations festival in the spring.

Spectators are welcome to the U18 Junior 1872 Cup in Melrose, (kick-off 2.30pm) entry is free but we request that spectators sign up via the link HERE.
