Head Coach Bryan Redpath has named the Scotland U20 team to face Argentina U20 at Perpignan’s Stade Aime-Giral in the World Rugby U20 Championship this Sunday (3 June, kick-off 1pm GMT/ 2pm local time) – streamed live on worldrugby.org.

The team selection includes six changes to the side who suffered defeat against Italy U20 in Wednesday’s opening group stage fixture.

Sam Grahamslaw and Murphy Walker are named as props after both featuring from the bench in the loss to Italy, while Marshall Sykes gets the nod at second-row.

Newcastle Falcons’ Guy Graham returns to the starting XV and is named at blind-side flanker.

In the backline, Callum McLelland replaces Ross Thompson at stand-off, while Sam Yawayawa starts on the wing.

On his team selection, Redpath, said: “We were obviously disappointed with how the match against Italy ended.

“I thought we were outstanding for 90 per cent of the match, but there were three instances where we didn’t manage to get it right in the final five minutes and we learned that you pay a heavy price for things like that at this level.

“I can’t question their work-ethic and desire. We led that game for 75 minutes. We were the better team overall, but we didn’t get out of the game what we put into it because of what we let happen in the last five minutes.

We’ve made a few changes to the starting XV to keep things fresh and we’re expecting a tough match from a well-drilled and physical Argentinian side.

“The squad have looked sharp in training and we’re looking to forward to having the opportunity to bounce back.”

Elsewhere, Jed-Forest product Finlay Scott keeps his spot at hooker, while Jamie Hodgson is named in the second-row.

The inclusion of Graham is the only alteration to an otherwise unchanged back-row as Rory Darge and Devante Onojaife are named at openside flanker and number eight respectively.

Following his try-scoring performance against Italy, Charlie Chapman is named at scrum-half, while centre pairing Stafford McDowall and Cameron Hutchison once again line up in midfield.

Winger Logan Trotter and full-back Paddy Dewhirst keep their place in the back-three.
