Quartet Added To Provisional Scotland Squad

Captain Mike Blair, centres Ben Cairns and Nick De Luca and lock Jim Hamilton have all been added to Scotland’s provisional squad ahead of the RBS 6 Nations match against Wales at Cardiff on Saturday (kick off 2pm, live on BBC One).The quartet all started for Scotland A against Ireland Wolfhounds on Friday night in Belfast and have since joined up with the national squad at the team hotel.Other players linking up with Andy Robinson’s squad include Dougie Hall, Ruaridh Jackson and Dan Parks (Glasgow Warriors), Scott Gray and Euan Murray (Northampton Saints), Simon Danielli (Ulster), Rory Lamont (Toulon) and Nikki Walker (Ospreys)._Those who played in yesterday’s game were involved in recovery protocols today. Scotland team doctor James Robson said he would be monitoring the progress of the following players who sustained knocks in the French match: John Beattie (hip bruising), Kelly Brown (shoulder strain), Thom Evans (calf bruising), Nathan Hines (calf strain), Graeme Morrison (leg bruising) and Chris Paterson (calf bruising). The Scotland team to play Wales is due to be announced at 11.30am tomorrow (Tuesday 9 February).
