Schools & Youth National Competition Rules 2025/26 (Stage 2)

Comments and suggestions are invited in respect of potential changes to the Scottish Rugby’s National Competition Rules (NCRs) to be used during the 2025/26 Season. Once approved, the updated versions of the NCRs will replace the current equivalent versions (which can be viewed here).

In their consultation response, respondees are asked to:

• Provide details of any change(s) being proposed (including draft wording where appropriate);
• Indicate the reason(s) why the change is being proposed; and
• Provide the name, contact details and capacity within the game of the person or body proposing the change.

Responses should be submitted by email to [email protected] no later than 5pm on Monday 5th May 2025.

Once approved, the updated version will replace the current equivalent version (which can be viewed here). Any comments / suggestions should be based on the draft below:

Once approved, the updated version will replace the current equivalent version (which can be viewed here). Any comments / suggestions should be based on the draft below:

SDR 16 : Match Approvals and Permission to Tour (Stage 3)

Comments and suggestions are invited in respect of potential changes to the Scottish Rugby’s policy and regulation governing tour approvals (both going on tour and hosting a tour), approval of matches in ‘Close Time’ and the approval of matches involving ‘scratch teams’ (SDR 16 : Match Approvals and Permission to Tour). Once approved, the updated version will replace the current equivalent version (which can be viewed here). Any comments / suggestions should be based on the draft below:

Once approved, the updated versions of these documents will replace the current equivalent versions (which can be viewed here). Comments should be based on the drafts below:
