Match Day Guide
The Saltire Energy Caledonia Cup is one of the truly memorable days in the club rugby calendar with 12 youth finals all happening in one place on one day.
The season’s crown – held this year at Countesswells Playing Fields at Robert Gordon’s College in Aberdeen on Sunday 24 March – provides a golden opportunity for youth players to experience a match day unrivalled across the Caledonia region.
Every side competing has topped a series of regional leagues, as well as Cup, Shield, and Bowl knockout rounds, culminating in 18 boys’ and six girls’ teams reaching the big dance.
The fixture list is not yet finalised and will be updated as soon as results from the semi-finals have been uploaded.

Gav Scott / Scottish Rugby Director of Rugby Development
As part of Saltire Energy’s partnership with Scottish Rugby, we are delighted to once again support the Saltire Energy Caledonia Cup. The competition celebrates an inclusive environment for Caledonian clubs and communities and has seen record numbers of teams entering year after year. The event signifies the positive impact sport has and celebrates the key values that are fundamental to what we stand for at Saltire Energy; respect, leadership, achievement, engagement and enjoyment.
I wish all involved the very best of luck, the day will no doubt hold many successes but most importantly it will be a fun, exciting and enjoyable event for all involved.
