Scotland Medical Update: Gray Urges Scots To Bounce Back
Scotland scrum-half Rory Lawson was the most significant casualty from last night’s RBS 6 Nations Championship loss to France in Paris. Lawson, Scotland’s vice-captain, was replaced at half-time after taking a blow to his lower back. Scotland team doctor James Robson said prior to the team’s departure from Paris this afternoon: “Rory will be monitored by the medical team and we will have a clearer idea of the extent of the injury in the next 24 -48 hours.” Otherwise Dr Robson reported the “usual bumps and bruises” to be expected from a Test match and noted that a number of players would require further treatment and assessment tonight and tomorrow. Meanwhile, Scotland lock Richie Gray is urging his team-mates to bounce back when Wales visit Murrayfield on Saturday (12 February, kick-off 5pm). You can hear his interview below.
