Scotland Women U18 7s select team for Home Nations 7s

Scotland Women U18 7s have confirmed their match-day squad for the Home Nations U18 7s in Edinburgh this weekend (Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 July; Peffermill Playing Fields).

The team will play England, Ireland and Wales in a round-robin format on day one before playing knock-out matches to determine final placings on day two.

Included in the squad of twelve are Evie Gallagher, who travelled to Paris with Scotland Women 7s in their recent top eight finish in the Rugby Europe Grand Prix Series, and Evie Wills, who was a member of the wider Scotland Women 7s training squad ahead of the tournament.

Head Coach of Scotland Women U18 7s, Graeme Blackhall, said: “Selection for our first tournament was competitive, as expected.

I am pleased with the make-up of the squad and believe we have some exciting talent ready for the challenge ahead this weekend.”

Scotland open the tournament against Wales at 10am on Saturday before taking on England at midday and Ireland at 3pm.

The first matches on day two will be confirmed following the final day one match between England and Wales.

Supporters are invited to attend the Home Nations U18 7s which is free and unticketed. The tournament runs from 10am until 4pm on Saturday 7 July and from 10am until 1pm on Sunday 8 July.

There is limited on-site parking available for spectators at Peffermill. On-street and other local parking options are available, but please be respectful of residential properties in the area. Catering will be available in the clubhouse.
