Scottish Rugby Launches Clubhouse Hospitality For Calcutta Cup
Scottish Rugby is giving supporters the chance to enjoy a special day out at Murrayfield’s showpiece fixture of the year – and, at the same time, know that they are playing a part in growing the game of rugby throughout the country. Demand to see Scotland in the 2008 RBS 6 Nations has been exceptional. The Scotland v France match on Sunday 3 February is already a 67,800 sell-out. The visit of the RWC 2007 finalists, England, on Saturday 8 March will also see a capacity crowd, as rugby club members, debenture holders and regular attendees at Murrayfield internationals have flocked to buy tickets. However, today, Scottish Rugby is pleased to make a limited number of official hospitality tickets available for that Calcutta Cup clash. However, today, Scottish Rugby is pleased to make a limited number of official hospitality tickets available for that Calcutta Cup clash. “Clubhouse” hospitality packages are available at £299 (inclusive of VAT). The package gives supporters a match ticket, complimentary pre-match bar, pre-match two-course fork buffet, pre and post-match entertainment including analysis from former Scotland stars, opportunities to win signed merchandise, a live ceilidh band TV and video facility, post- match cash bar and a souvenir match-day programme. The fun starts at 12.30pm and is open until 6.30pm. The Clubhouse forms part of Scottish Rugby’s Hospitality Village on Murrayfield’s back pitches next to the West Stand. Gordon McKie, Scottish Rugby Chief Executive, said: “We are making this special and limited hospitality package available in light of the overwhelming demand from supporters to see the Calcutta Cup in style at Murrayfield. Clubhouse hospitality turns match-day into a day to remember. “Supporters buying this package can do so safe in the knowledge that the proceeds go directly to Scottish Rugby and are reinvested in grassroots rugby throughout the country. “Those supporters who are tempted to buy unofficial hospitality packages will do so in the knowledge that these contravene the terms of sale of international match tickets. “Scottish Rugby’s ticket terms and conditions are very clear. Such black-market hospitality operations are illegal and they short-change Scottish Rugby and the dedicated army of volunteers who sustain the game the length and breadth of the land.” You can buy the Clubhouse hospitality package via the hotline on 0131 346 5100 or online at www.scottishrugby.org.
