Scottish Rugby Referee weekend appointments
Round six of the BT Premiership kicks-off this weekend and there are also several BT National League Division 1 games across the country where a number of Scottish Rugby referees will be in action (kick-off 3pm). In tomorrow’s BT Premiership, Graeme Wells will command the whistle when league leaders Ayr visit Meggetland to face Boroughmuir.An Edinburgh derby between Currie and Heriot’s at Malleny Park will see Emmanuelle Tomo (Italy) take charge in the middle as part of a new initiative where leading referees from the Pro12 nations gain experience outside of their home competition.Meanwhile, Keith Allen will referee in the Borders as Gala take on Watsonians at Netherdale, Sam-Grove White will referee from Old Anniesland when Glasgow Hawks host Hawick and Neil Muir will officiate Stirling County’s visit to Melrose on Saturday.In BT National League Division 1, Ross Mabon is scheduled to referee Dundee HSFP’s hosting of performers Marr, Matt Duncan will take control of Falkirk v Aberdeen from Sunnyside, while Dunx McClement is on hand to referee Jed-Forest’s trip to Hamilton.Howe of Fife’s clash with Musselburgh will be officiated by David Sutherland at Duffus Park, Selkirk’s hosting of Edinburgh Accies sees Cammy Rudkin in the middle at Philiphaugh, and GHA’s visit to Inverleith to face Stewart’s Melville is refereed by Graeme Ormiston.Further afield, Rio 2016 referee Mike Adamson, who is currently involved with a South African Exchange programme, will referee College Rovers’ hosting of Old Selbornians this weekend in Durban.Ex-Army officer George Pounder rounds up the referee appointments for this week, as he commands Gilbraltar’s clash with the Royal Marines on the Rock.
