Shield and Bowl semi-final draw announced
The draw for the Shield and Bowl semi-finals were today confirmed to determine who will play at BT Murrayfield in this year’s edition of Silver Saturday.
Winners of four regional competitions in Caledonia, the Borders, Edinburgh and the West progress to the national Shield semi-finals and winners of the Caledonia North, Caledonia Midlands, East and West regional Bowl competitions qualify for the national Bowl semis.
Scottish Rugby Director of Rugby Development, Shelia Begbie, made the draw at BT Murrayfield.
Berwick, who have won 14 of their 15 matches in the league this season, have home advantage as they welcome Royal High to Scremerston. Greenock Wanderers travel to Strathmore in the other tie in the National Shield.
In the National Bowl semi-finals, Glasgow University Medics take on Dundee University Medics while Edinburgh Northern will play Aberdeenshire.
National Shield and Bowl semi-finals will be played on Saturday 30thMarch.
