Successful Positive Coaching Scotland conference at national stadium
BT Murrayfield played host to some 120 individuals, representing 28 clubs, for the annual Positive Coaching Scotland (PCS) conference recently.This was the most highly attended of the three national conferences to date, and provided some positive discussion for attendees to take back to their clubs, for their development.The afternoon’s key-note speakers were, Peter Gallagher, a former Border Reivers coach and Scotland 7s manager who is now involved with Duns Rugby Club, and the club’s development officer Robert Grigg, who spoke on developing change in clubs.Representing sportscotland was Grand Slam hero Tony Stanger and Alan and Linda Lawson who kick-started the event with some inspirational words on behalf of the Bill McLaren Foundation.Neil Graham, Coaching Development Manager for Scottish Rugby, said: “This year’s PCS conference has been a great success giving accredited clubs the chance to share good practice and new ideas, to take on going forward.”With some quality speakers present, including the likes of Tony Stanger, the club representatives took away some key messages and ideas we want them to absorb and develop.”
