It was 14 years ago that a young Richie Gray won a first Scotland cap in a Six Nations encounter with France at Murrayfield, his impressive early career form earning selection for the 2013 British & Irish Lions tour to Australia, where he won a cap in the series-clinching final Test.
Gray’s 50th Scotland appearance came alongside younger brother Jonny in a 2015 Rugby World Cup thriller against Samoa and he later returned to first club Glasgow Warriors, for whom he is now a centurion, after winning the Top 14 title with Toulouse in France in 2019.
Richie returned to the international fold in 2022 and last year appeared at a second Rugby World Cup.
