Scrum half Conor McAlpine first began playing rugby at Boroughmuir RFC at the age of seven.
He continued playing at his school George Watsons College, during which time he also played football for Heart of Midlothian. Ultimately, he decided to focus his efforts on the egg shaped ball.
Conor represented Scotland at U16 level and was in place to progress to the U18s before tearing his ACL before the start of the Under-18 Six Nations Festival.
In the 2023/24 season, he joined FOSROC Super Series outfit Watsonians and made two starts for the side during the 2024 Sprint.
Currently, Conor is studying Sport Science at University of Edinburgh.
