Jerred Patrick Blyth-Lafferty was born in Edinburgh and began his rugby journey aged seven at Boroughmuir RFC.
He progressed through their age-grade ranks before eventually turning out for Boroughmuir Bears in the FOSROC Super Series.
In 2023, he played for the FOSROC Future XV in the Super Series whilst also being part of the Edinburgh FOSROC Scottish Rugby Academy.
He attended Firrhill High School in the south-west of Edinburgh.
Previously representing Scotland U18 at loosehead prop, Jerry now plies his trade at hooker. As well as playing rugby, Jerry was also competitive in judo during his youth and was a Scottish champion boxer.
