A former figure skater, Christine's rugby journey commenced at the age of 15 during her time at Thomas A. Stewart Secondary School in Peterborough, where she was coached by Craig Harris.
After graduating, she continued to train with her school team for an additional semester, allowing her to play one more season before embarking on travels across Canada and Europe.
In 2015, Christine’s travels led her to Glasgow, a city she fell in love with and decided to make her home. She joined the local club Cartha Queens Park, becoming a key player for the Glasgow side until 2021.
Christine became eligible to represent Scotland through residency in 2018 and joined the Scotland Women programme via the Scottish Qualification Programme. Despite an initial injury setback, she made her international debut on September 30 2019 against South Africa during the team’s tour in Cape Town.
Belisle earned her first few caps as a second-row/back-row before moving to tighthead prop in 2020, and he was quick to make her mark in the new position, winning a penalty in her first international scrum against France.
Since then, Christine has featured across multiple Six Nations campaigns, WXV2 competitions and was part of the squad who secured qualification for the Rugby World Cup 2021. Belisle started in Scotland’s final qualifier against Colombia where the team won 59-3. She was then called up to the World Cup squad, travelling to New Zealand in 2022.
In 2021 Christine moved to England to join Loughborough Lightning in the PWR where she continues to player her club rugby.
Away from rugby, Christine is a personal trainer and runs her own business, called Strong Friends Club, which prioritises strength over physique.
