A product of Bell Baxter High School, Fiona Cooper starting playing rugby aged 16 when she joined Howe of Fife rugby club.
Cooper has since went on to play for a number of clubs, including University of St Andrews, Ponsonby Rugby Club, Atlanta Harlequins and Corstorphine Cougars and currently plays for Premier 15s side, Wasps.
She has an undergraduate degree in International Relations from the University of St Andrews and has also received a Masters in International Development at Emory University in Atlanta.
Cooper is currently a Knowledge Manager at Laureus Sport for Good, an international charity using sport to combat violence, discrimination and disadvantage around the world.
She has also previously worked with ChildFund Sport, delivering a global series connecting grassroots women in rugby called Grassroots to Global: Women in Rugby Inspiring Change. The series aimed to to better understand the barriers women faced participating in the game and how their community, unions, world rugby could better find solutions for a more equitable future of the sport.
