U18 squad named as Wales and England games are confirmed
A home-based Scotland Under-18 squad will step up their preparations for upcoming games against Wales and England at a training camp in Stirling this weekend, training alongside a Scottish Qualified Under-18 group and a Scotland Under-17 squad.
Their first game will be against Wales U18 at Inverleith in Edinburgh on Sunday 11 March (kick-off 12pm), before they face England U18 at Bridgehaugh in Stirling seven days later (Sunday 18 March, kick-off 12pm).
The squad will then travel to Wales for a 6 Nations tournament at the end of March.
Scotland Under-18 Head Coach Iain Monaghan said: “We’ve been training regularly over the last couple of months and we’ll step up our preparations this weekend when we meet in Stirling.
“We had a strong hit-out against the Welsh regions last Sunday and that allowed us to see what we’ve been working on in training in a match setting.
“Our first game against Wales is now just over two weeks away and we’re excited to see the players test themselves against two very good teams next month, before the 6 Nations tournament gets underway.”
