The Great Scottish Run 2009, supported by Bank of Scotland and Lloyds TSB, took centre stage in Glasgow’s Princes Square this morning when former Miss Scotland, Nieve Jennings, was joined by Glasgow Warriors James Eddie and Calum Forrester to draw attention to the postal entries deadline for Scotland’s premier mass participation event.A record number of people have already signed up for this year’s race, leading organisers to predict a last minute rush from those runners who have been training hard, but not yet posted their entry form._ _The Great Scottish Run 2009, supported by Bank of Scotland and Lloyds TSB, took centre stage in Glasgow’s Princes Square this morning when former Miss Scotland, Nieve Jennings, was joined by Glasgow Warriors James Eddie and Calum Forrester to draw attention to the postal entries deadline for Scotland’s premier mass participation event.A record number of people have already signed up for this year’s race, leading organisers to predict a last minute rush from those runners who have been training hard, but not yet posted their entry form._ Culture and Sport Glasgow want to make people aware of the postal entries deadline of Friday 21st August, to ensure the estimated 20,000 race packs are posted in plenty of time for one of the highlights on Glasgow’s sporting calendar.
