Lawson Returns To Scotland Training
Gloucester scrum-half Rory Lawson returned to Scotland’s training session this afternoon having missed last weekend’s EMC Autumn Test against New Zealand on account of a hand injury. Following a debrief on the match against the All Blacks, the squad started their preparations for Saturday’s EMC Autumn Test against South Africa at Murrayfield (kick-off 2.30pm). Following a debrief on the match against the All Blacks, the squad started their preparations for Saturday’s EMC Autumn Test against South Africa at Murrayfield (kick-off 2.30pm). Ten players who were involved in Saturday’s loss did not train today. Captain Mike Blair is following the return to play protocols that must be adhered to in the aftermath of a head knock; centre Max Evans and flanker John Barclay are continuing their rehabilitation following shoulder and ankle injuries respectively, likewise stand-off Dan Parks (knee), hooker Ross Ford (shoulder), lock Jim Hamilton (back), prop Alasdair Dickinson (shoulder) and wing Rory Lamont (quad). Two other players, flanker Ross Rennie and lock Nathan Hines, were also rested from today’s session though both are available for selection for this weekend.
