The Famous Grouse Nations Series

The Famous Grouse Nations Series returns to Scottish Gas Murrayfield this November following a break last year because of Rugby World Cup. And what a return!

First up are the thrilling Flying Fijians, followed by a visit from the current World Champions South Africa, then an enthralling game against Portugal, the team that dazzled fans at last year’s Rugby World Cup in France, and finishing with next year’s British & Irish Lions hosts, Australia. (And if all that wasn’t enough, the night before the Australia game, Scotland A play against Chile at Hive Stadium!)

The games against South Africa, Australia and Fiji are all sold out, although you should keep checking the ticketing section of this website, as any tickets returned to us are always immediately made available for sale. There are still tickets available for the game against Portugal (although the crowd is already over 50,000 so don’t leave it too long to secure your tickets!)

If you’re going to any of the games there’s a page of useful Matchday Information HERE. Additional specific information relevant to each game can be found by clicking on the relevant “Going to the Game” link below.

Scotland v Fiji
Saturday 2 November, kick-off 5.40pm
Scottish Gas Murrayfield
Always an entertaining game against the popular South Sea Islanders, Scotland scored four tries the last time the Flying Fijians came to Scottish Gas Murrayfield. Having famously beaten England in the build-up to last year’s Rugby World Cup, Fiji went on to beat Australia in the tournament itself before being knocked out at the quarter-final stage. A fantastic game to kick off this year’s Autumn Nations Series. Read more about Scotland v Fiji.

Scotland v South Africa

Sunday 10 November, kick-off 4.10pm
Scottish Gas Murrayfield
The challenge doesn’t get much bigger than facing the Springboks, the current World Champions who lifted the Rugby World Cup last year for the second consecutive time, becoming the only team to win the trophy four times.
It’s been three years since South Africa were last here, when two wonderful Stuart Hogg tries weren’t enough to win (although he did equal Scotland’s try total that day). A huge game in prospect. Read more about Scotland v South Africa.

Scotland v Portugal

Saturday 16 November, kick-off 3.10pm
Scottish Gas Murrayfield
Scotland and Portugal have met once before at this level (at Rugby World Cup 2007) but this is a first Autumn Nations Series visit for the team that lit up last year’s Rugby World Cup. Having drawn with Georgia in one of the most exciting games of the tournament,
Portugal then went on to cause one of the biggest upsets in the tournament’s history when they beat Fiji 24-23. A wonderful opportunity to welcome the latest sensations on the international stage. Read more about Scotland v Portugal.

Scotland v Australia

Sunday 24 November, kick-off 1.40pm
Scottish Gas Murrayfield
Always entertaining, this is one of the most popular fixtures at Scottish Gas Murrayfield.
Two years ago Scotland were going for three home wins on the bounce against the Wallabies only to lose agonisingly by a single point after outscoring the visitors by two tries to one. What a way to end the series! Read more about Scotland v Australia.

Scotland A v Chile

Saturday 23 November, kick-off 6pm
Hive Stadium, Edinburgh
The night before the game against Australia, Scotland A play Chile at Hive Stadium, within the Murrayfield campus next door to the national stadium. If you’re coming along to see the Wallabies the next day, make a weekend of it and start your rugby weekend on the Saturday night! Read more about Scotland A v Chile.

Match Tickets

With three of the games now sold out, there are only tickets available for Scotland v Portugal. However, the crowd is already over 50,000 so please do not leave it too late!
