Welcome to our new website!
We are delighted to unveil our new website scottishrugby.org, the online home of rugby in Scotland.
This new
site contains a host of new features to help showcase the best of the game at
all levels, from grassroots fixtures, results and guidance on how to get
involved, to new and exclusive content hubs that bring fans even
closer to Scotland teams.
Improved menu structure, navigation and mobile suitability make the new site ideal for fans on the go and provides a fresh digital experience for our growing online, social and mobile audience, both nationally and globally.
Designed with mobile use at its heart, the new site provides a consistent and streamlined experience across all devices. You’ll be able to access all content in any situation, with a swipe, tap or a click.
Simplified navigation means menus are less cluttered and information is easier to find. A more powerful search tool will also help you find want you want, faster.
Today’s
launch is first phase of the website development project for Scottish Rugby.
The second will be the development of websites for our pro-teams, Glasgow
Warriors and Edinburgh Rugby.
Fan Zone
Our all-new FanZone is a dedicated space to provide a continuous stream of snackable and social content from across our Scotland teams, our players, our fan base and the wider rugby community – all in one easy-to-browse experience.
The Fanzone functionality allow you to filter what you want to watch, based on the team, your mood and how much time you have at your disposal.
Match-day
We’ve designed a homepage layout that adapts throughout match phases, from the excitement of build-up and live match-day coverage, through to post-match reaction – all launched in time for next Saturday’s Guinness Six Nations round four clash with Wales at BT Murrayfield!
It all comes to life on match-day in the match centre, where team news will be accompanied by live, in-game updates, images and vital stats from the field of play.
Clubs and Schools
Our clubs and schools’ section is for everyone involved in the club and school game and provides information on how to start playing (with club finders and information on our latest initiatives) plus support materials and training information for those looking to develop their club, or in their role as player, coach, referee or volunteer.
With many ways to find the information, including a search-via-your-region function, you can find out exactly what’s happening near you.
Design
The new design, as well as all featured images, videos and content, are optimised for the best performance on your device, no matter where you are.
Fixtures and Results
Our website will remain the place to visit for the latest fixtures and results for the international, club and schools’ game. With options to search teams and competitions – you’ll find the fixture you are after in just a few clicks.
We are continuing to work behind the scenes to ensure all fixtures and results are represented from Club Rugby whether that be this season and previous seasons. We will have our results archive for club rugby up and running shortly.
For everyone
scottishrugby.org has been built for fans, everywhere. We’ve taken significant steps to make our website accessible to all users, following industry standards and guidelines.
