January 22 & 23: Tennent’s Leagues Preview
Here’s everything you need to know about what’s coming up on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 January.
It’s time for round 16 of the men’s Tennent’s Premiership.
Selkirk could jump up two places in the table to sixth with a win away to Edinburgh Accies.
Hawick could end the weekend in third place if they win on the road at Jed-Forest.
There is a Glasgow derby to look forward to as both Glasgow Hawks and GHA look to bounce back from defeats last week.
It’s top against bottom as Aberdeen Grammar seek a second win of the season when they host Currie Chieftains, who are seven points clear at the summit.
And should Currie slip up, Marr will be hoping to close the gap on them when they travel to Musselburgh.
This week, Jed-Forest v Hawick is on Saturday at 3pm. All the other fixtures kick off at 2pm.
Turning to the men’s Tennent’s National League Division 1, Gala could move level on points at the top of the table with a win when they host Dundee.
Boroughmuir will be hoping for a second win of the season when they to Stirling Wolves.
League leaders Heriot’s Blues, who are just two points clear at the top, travel to Ayr, who could jump up as many as three places with a win.
Cartha Queens Park will seek to lessen the 16-point gap between them and the sides directly above them in the league with a win at home to Melrose.
Watsonians are also chasing a second win of the season when they host Highland, who could finish the weekend in third with a victory.
And there is a big clash at the top of the table as second placed Biggar host fourth placed Kelso.
This week, Cartha v Melrose and Biggar v Kelso are on Saturday at 2pm. The remaining fixtures kick off at 3pm.

In the women’s Tennent’s National League Division 1, there is just the one fixture as Annan attempt to overtake their visitors Ayr, who are one spot and three points above them.
This fixture takes place on Sunday, kicking off at 2pm.
