March 5 & 6: Tennent’s Leagues Preview
Here’s everything you need to know about what’s coming up on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 March.
In the men’s Tennent’s Premiership, league leaders Currie Chieftains, who have only lost one game all season, travel to Edinburgh Academical, who could climb up to third with a win.
There is an important clash at the bottom of the table as second bottom Selkirk host third bottom GHA.
Aberdeen Grammar will look to build on a second win of the season last week when they host Musselburgh.
And second placed Marr will be hoping to close the gap on Currie when they travel to Jed-Forest.
This week, all the fixtures take place on Saturday at 3pm.
Turning to the men’s Tennent’s National League Division 1, bottom side Boroughmuir, who will be looking for a third win of the season, host league leaders Heriot’s Blues.
Dundee and Kelso will both be looking to close the gaps on the sides above them when they meet at Mayfield.
Watsonian’s and Ayr can both climb one place in the table with a win when they face off at Myreside.
Melrose could climb as high as second with a win when they host Stirling Wolves.
Gala could finish the weekend top of the table if other results go their way, and they win away to Cartha Queens Park.
And Biggar could also climb to first with a win when they travel to Highland.
This week, all the fixtures take place on Saturday at 3pm.
In the Sarah Beaney Cup, Watsonian’s, who won their opening fixture last weekend, travel to Corstorphine.
Hillhead Jordanhill, who narrowly lost their opening fixture, travel to Stewartry.
And Heriot’s Blues and Stirling both head into their clash at Goldenacre on the back of opening round victories.
This week, all the fixtures take place on Sunday at 2pm..
