The maul is collapsed short, and we work to the left where Scott finds McGhie for her fifth try and 13 caps. Nelson converts.
Scotland 40-7 Wales
Metcalfe evades the defence in the right corner and scores. Conversion is good.
Scotland 40-14 Wales
Smith steals the ball in midfield and Nelson punts downfield. Scott sprints with all her tenacity to get there and make a tackle, and Grant gets the jackal penalty.
We kick to the right corner.
Lineout not straight and then a scrum infringement, and we kick to our 22 where Wales will throw in.
Another penalty against us in quick succession, this time for in front of the kicker. Wales kick to the left corner.
Lana Skeldon and Chloe Rollie come off. Elis Martin and debutant Lucia Scott, who becomes cap number 240, come on.
Clarke thinks she’s made an excellent ruck turnover, but it’s deemed she didn’t release.
Wales’ penalty doesn’t find touch, and Scotland clear.

It comes from a moment of brilliance from Meryl Smith. Under pressure, she notices space on the left and dunts a soft kick into it. It bounces perfectly for Rollie, who steps inside two defenders to score under the posts. Nelson converts.

Orr tried to pass just as she was tackled, and it goes forward.
Wales scrum narrowly inside our half.

A few minutes ago, Louise McMillan replaced Fi McIntosh.
Rollie intercepts in midfield and charges forward on a weaving run, she’s brought down and Smith kicks into the right corner.
Gallagher and Rollie are both stopped inches short, but the aggressive line from Smith can’t be stopped and she crashes over. Nelson converts.
Scotland 26-7 Wales
Scotland with another big platform, a scrum five metres out on the right.
A penalty against Wales for going off their feet. A third final warning of the night for Wales.
We’ll take the scrum five metres out just left of the posts.

Wales get the free kick from the scrum and clear, but Orr and Grant run it up the right. Then Orr breaks down the left from Nelson’s well timed pass, and finds Rollie who just gets to the line as she falls. Nelson converts.
Scotland 19-5 Wales
Belisle and Bartlett off for Anne Young and Elliann Clarke.
Smith through the middle, and Scotland batter at the line, but McGhie drops Rollie’s pass and Wales escape. A scrum for the visitors just outside their 5m line.
Kicks from both teams, and Smith’s boot comes to a halt inches from Wales’ line. They find touch just outside their 22, a big net gain in territory for Scotland.
Leia Brebner-Holden becomes Scotland cap number 239, coming on for Mairi McDonald.
And another one. This time we’re just inside our half with the lineout.
This time it IS our penalty. We clear up to around 30m from our line.

A ruck turnover from Skeldon, Orr hacked through and McGhie was fastest to the loose ball, hacking it on once more and diving on it over the line. Nelson’s conversion is good.

Wales penalised at the ruck by the referee, but the decision is overturned by the touch judge and Wales get the penalty.
They kick down the left to the edge of our 22.

Wales hold a narrow lead at the break.
Wales break down the left but Rollie recovers well, and the visitors go off their feet defending the ruck.
We kick down to Wales’ 10.
Scotland pinged again. Wales lineout just inside our half.
Wales steal the lineout and find touch on our 10, then nearly steal the lineout but knock it on.
Our scrum on our 10m line.
Malcolm deemed offside as she joined the maul. Wales penalty.
They exit, if you can call it that, to 15 metres from their line.
It wouldn’t be yet another Skeldon maul try would it? The referee thinks so!
The decision on-field was try, but we’re going to the TMO…
Maul infringement. A second final warning for Wales. The ball kicked into the right corner again.
Several penalties against Wales in the last five minutes. This one is kicked into the right corner.
Scotland get the maul going and then Smith goes over, but it’s once more held up and Wales kick clear.
Scotland work right to left but Fi McIntosh brings it in and the jackal earns the penalty.
Wales kick the penalty to their 22.
An illegal tackle from Wales leads to another penalty. We kick into the left corner.
Wales kick clear and McGhie and Rollie run it back.
Wales counter ruck but they’re off their feet, and we kick a penalty to Wales’ 22.
A messy Welsh ruck made messier by the booming collisions from Leah Bartlett and Christine Belisle as they pile in. There’s more forwards firing in behind them, and the referee decides the ball is unplayable and awards Scotland the scrum on halfway.
Gallagher comes thundering out the scrum and gets us way downfield, then Orr goes down the right. There’s an attempted Welsh interception that goes forward, and we get the scrum on the right around 10m out.
Scotland come forward through Emma Orr and then Mairi McDonald, but a good jackal from Wales earns them the penalty.
They kick to just inside their half.
Wales steal the lineout and come down the right, chipping over the top.
It goes out just outside our 22. Lineout there.
Nelson finds touch, and then Wales obstruct setting up a lineout maul.
The penalty is kicked to just inside out half.
Pretty simple stuff for Wales. A big carry up the middle yields a penalty which is tapped quickly, and then a gap opens up for Webb on the right to dart through when it looked like Scotland had plenty cover.
The conversion gives Wales the lead.

Wales mark the kick off and clear to just inside our half.
Nelson gets us just out of our 22. Welsh lineout.
A first lengthy defensive set for Scotland after Wales break up the left. We hold firm though, and a knock on gives us a scrum on the right side in our 22.
A few phases from the visitors and a nudge through into our 22. We’ll have the lineout there around 20 metres from our line.

A few phases from the forwards after the scrum. Evie Gallagher is strong to spin out of a tackle and she reaches the line. No conversion.

We kick clear after the restart. Welsh lineout just inside our half.
With Scotland on the verge of a try, Wales intercept and charge down the field!
Chloe Rollie’s pace shows as she gets back, and a kick through goes straight out.

Wales make a fairly obvious in the side ruck steal and it’s penalised.

Scotland think they’re over with some trickery at the lineout, but it’s held up and Wales exit via the goal line dropout.
