Scotland 'A' at Hive!
Scotland A return to play in Scotland for the first time in ten years when they face Chile this Saturday evening.

Meet the Scotland Players
In addition to seeing Scotland ‘A’ in action on the pitch, you’ll also have a chance to meet the Scotland players selected to face Australia the next day in the sold-out final The Famous Grouse Nations Series game at Scottish Gas Murrayfield. Gregor Townsend and the Scotland players will be at Hive Stadium before the Scotland A v Chile game for autographs and selfies!
Scotland A v Chile
Scotland A will play a game in Scotland for the first since 2014 when they take on Chile at Edinburgh’s Hive Stadium on Saturday 23 November (kick-off 6pm) – the night before Scotland take on Australia at Scottish Gas Murrayfield in the final match of the Autumn Nations Series. And fans will be able to meet the players selected to face the Wallabies, as they’ll be there at Hive supporting the ‘A’ team. A fantastic opportunity to see Scotland stars up close at Hive Stadium – both on and off the pitch!
Returning as part of Scottish Rugby’s new performance pathway plans, Scotland A has been identified as a key way of developing players, by giving them the opportunity of competing at a high level ahead of making the step up to the national squad. The last game Scotland A played was also against Chile, in Santiago in 2022, when they ran out 45-5 winners, but it’s been ten years since they last played at home, a 16-16 draw with England Saxons at Scotstoun.
Chile played Scotland in July (as part of Scotland’s Skyscanner Americas Tour) and before they head to Edinburgh in November will be playing Tests against Brazil, Paraguay and Canada
Scotland head coach, Gregor Townsend said: “International A matches are a really effective way of developing our players to prepare them for Test match rugby. Chile will provide a tough opponent for us in November. We have built up a strong relationship with them since our first match, in Santiago two years ago, and we experienced a real challenge and a noisy atmosphere this summer when we played them in their National Stadium. It will be a great to host them at Hive Stadium and see a young Scottish squad take the game to them.”
Scotland Assistant Coach Peter Horne will coach the side, with Stevie Lawrie as forwards coach and Pete Murchie as defence coach.
