Scotland Women kick off their 2025 Guinness Six Nations campaign against Wales at Hive Stadium, where they’ll be looking to make it three wins in a row against the Welsh following the recent 40-14 win in the The Vodafone Series and their first win in Cardiff for twenty years in last season’s Guinness Six Nations.

Scotland v Italy
Sunday 13 April, kick-off 3pm

The win against Italy at Hive last year was the first of seven consecutive wins for Scotland Women that culminated in lifting the WXV2 trophy in South Africa. This year, the Scots recorded their first ever Six Nations win in Italy with a hard-fought 17-10 win. Another close match in prospect as Scotland aim for three wins in a row against the Italians.

Scotland v Ireland
Saturday 26 April, kick-off 12.15pm
Hive Stadium
The last time Ireland came to Hive Stadium Scotland won in style in front of what was then a record crowd. (This crowd record was broken this year, first for the game against France which was followed by the sell-out against England.) Ireland narrowly beat Scotland 15-12 in Belfast in the final game of this year’s Guinness Six Nations, and so expect another thriller at Hive next year!

Last year’s Six-in-a-Row
Last year Scotland Women recorded six consecutive wins, starting with their last two Six Nations games – when they beat Italy and Ireland at Hive Stadium – culminating in captain Rachel Malcolm lifting the WXV2 trophy after wins against South Africa, USA and Japan. They made it seven-in-a-row when they beat Wales in Cardiff in the opening game of this year’s Guinness Six Nations.
Scotland 29 – 21 Italy
Scotland beat Italy in the fourth round of the 2023 Women’s Six Nations, a battling performance that sparked the record run of wins.

Scotland finished their Six Nations beating Ireland in front of a record crowd, their first back-to-back wins since 2006.

Champions Return Home
The Road to the 2025 Rugby World Cup in England
With the WXV 2 competition now complete, Scotland have officially qualified for the Rugby World Cup England 2025.
This marks Scotland’s seventh appearance at a Rugby World Cup since it was established in 1991 and is the first time they have appeared at back-to-back World Cups since 2006 and 2010. The Scots now join New Zealand, England, Canada, France, Australia, Brazil, Ireland, South Africa, Japan, USA, and Fiji – who previously qualified via regional tournaments.
The final teams to have qualified, on completion of WXV 2 and WXV 3 are: Italy, Wales, Spain and Samoa.
