With the U20 Six Nations being staged alongside the Men’s Guinness Six Nations, we’ve compiled some snapshots of the players who will be hoping to break through in the coming years.
Name: Kerr Yule
Age: 19
Position: Centre
Club: Glasgow Warriors
Born in Livingston, Kerr Yule started playing rugby at GHK RFC aged 8, then moved to West of Scotland from age 10-17, where he regularly played against current Scotland U20 captain and centre partner Johnny Ventisei, who was at rival club GHA RFC at the time. He then moved to Glasgow Hawks in 2022 before playing for FOSROC Super Series side Ayrshire Bulls during the 2023 FOSROC Super Series Sprint.
The 19-year-old was named as one of the fifteen FOSROC Scottish Rugby academy players aligned with Glasgow Warriors for the 2022/23 season and also made five appearances for the FOSROC Future XV side during the 2023 FOSROC Super Series Championship.
Previously, Kerr was part of the Glasgow Warriors U18 and Scotland U18 squads.
Making his debut when he was just 17, Yule has played 16 competitive fixtures for Scotland U20 to date, scoring his first try against Wales U20 in the 2024 U20 Six Nations. He was part of the Scotland U20 squad that won the 2024 World Rugby U20 Trophy, featuring in all four games and scoring a try in the final against USA U20.
In December 2024, Yule started for Emerging Scotland in their first ever fixture when they played Italy U23 at Hive Stadium.
He named former All Blacks centre Ma’a Nonu as an inspiration to him in his younger years. His father, Stuart Yule, is Scottish Rugby’s Head of Physical Performance.
