Bank of Scotland Corporate are extending their backing of Scottish Rugby for a further two years. It was announced today that they will sponsor the Autumn Tests in both 2008 and 2009 in a substantial six figure deal. Scottish Rugby’s Chief Executive Gordon McKie welcomed today’s announcement. He said: “It’s most encouraging to have the continuing support of such a major banking institution for our sport.Bank of Scotland Corporate are extending their backing of Scottish Rugby for a further two years. We look forward to the second Bank of Scotland Corporate August Test on Saturday against South Africa at Murrayfield and to their sponsorship of the Autumn Tests over the next two years. “This is an exciting time for Scottish Rugby. Bank of Scotland Corporate are among a number of major businesses who have chosen to invest in us and more will be announced shortly. That’s good news as we strive to enhance our sport throughout the country.” Adrian Grace, Managing Director, Commercial Business, Bank of Scotland Corporate, confirmed that the Bank are looking forward to building on what has been a successful sponsorship over the last two years. He said: “Bank of Scotland Corporate are delighted to develop our partnership with Scottish Rugby. We look forward to Jason White and the team taking forward the momentum from the terrific win against Ireland, to the second Bank of Scotland Corporate August Test against South Africa on Saturday.” Bank of Scotland Corporate join Ford (official vehicle suppliers); Scottish Hydro Electric (sponsors of the community game); Baxters (official training partner); Martin Currie (age-grade national teams, women’s rugby and the Pathway programme); and John Lewis (Youth League Cup and Scottish Schools 7s) as sponsors Scottish Rugby has had the privilege to announce this calendar year.
