Hills On The Hunt For Honours
11 Sep 2008
Sundays sees the first step along the road to representative honours for the Hilljills girls who are taking part in trials in a bid to be selected for the Scotland Women’s training squad. Lindsey Smith, Charlie Lewis, Hazel Belinski and Susie Brown will take part in the open trials on Sunday. Lindsey, part of the Scotland Women Development squad last year and Hazel who was capped as part of the 2008 6N Squad will be looking to build on solid performances in last years squads. Charlie will be experiencing her first Scotland trials after being part of the Scotland Rugby League Squad over the summer. Susie will be returning to the fold after a season out to complete her studies. After strong starting performances for the team over the past 2 seasons Heather Lockhart will be involved in the second leg of trials the following weekend. Injury keeps Fiona Reardon on the bench this weekend but she will no doubt be back in action soon. Unable to trial this year due to injury is Lucy Ward who sustained cruciate ligament damage last season. We wish all those involved the very best of luck.
