Kenya 7S 38 – 0 Scotland 7S
The Scotland 7s team were severely punished for their lack of physicality and mental toughness in their second outing at the Emirates Airline Dubai 7s as they went down 38-0 to Kenya. After the game, Scotland 7s coach Stephen Gemmell said: These guys are out there wearing a Scotland 7s jersey and that’s just not good enough.” “I think the boys are a bit shell-shocked with the level of physicality there is here. However, I’m not pinning the blame entirely on the players; we all need to front up together. We play the Arabian Gulf in just over an hour and they’ve performed well so far and they’ll have the crowd behind them. There are lots of Scotland supporters here and we owe them a performance after that.Scotland 7s team v Kenya 7s: Roddy Grant (West of Scotland)* CAPTAIN, Fraser McKenzie (Edinburgh), Struan Dewar (Heriots)**, Ashleah McCulloch (Aberdeen Grammar Rugby)**, Graham Hogg (Hawick)*, Andrew Easson (Edinburgh), Chris Kinloch (Glasgow Warriors)Substitutes: Colin Shaw (Glasgow Warriors) for McCulloch, Grant Anderson (Ayr)* for Kinloch, Chris Fusaro (Heriot’s)* for DewarScotland 7s: remaining Pool B fixtures on day one (Friday 28 November) of the Emirates Airline Dubai 7s: 5:44pm – Scotland v Arabian Gulf(All times are local – Dubai is four hours ahead of GMT.
