Scotland Squad Update
2 Feb 2009
Two forwards, Euan Murray and Nathan Hines, continued their rehabilitation and did not train with the Scotland squad at Murrayfield this afternoon, when all other players completed the session as preparations intensified for Sunday’s opening match in the RBS 6 Nations Championship against Wales.A spokesman for Scottish Rugby said: There’s tremendous interest in Sunday’s match with only some 3,000 tickets left at the 67,130 capacity stadium. Supporters looking to go to the game should buy their tickets online now. Scotland team doctor James Robson said: “We will monitor the progress of Euan (rib) and Nathan (knee) on a daily basis.”Uncapped Glasgow Warriors prop Moray Low, who was added to the Scotland squad during last week’s training, remained on national duty today. Two players who were part of the 33-strong squad that practised last week – half backs Rory Lawson (Gloucester) and Ruaridh Jackson (Glasgow Warriors) – have been released to their clubs.Note to editors: Tickets for Scotland v Wales can be bought online at www.scottishrugby.org; through the 24-hour hotline 0871 200 1511; or in person from the Scottish Rugby Ticket Centre at Murrayfield Stadium. Its opening hours this week are from 9am-8pm, Monday to Friday and from 9am to 4pm on Saturday. The final cut-off for ticket sales (via all other routes) is 5pm on Saturday. No tickets will be on sale on match day. Tickets cost either£45 or£60 for adults (the£30 tickets have now sold out) and either£22.50 or£30 for under-18s (the£15 concession has now sold out). Please note a booking fee applies to all card transactions.
