Rugby Park Stadium, InvercargillFull time: 15-6 Scotland met their second opponents in Pool B. Read the report below or visit the match gallery for photos.Looks like being a rainy night for Georgia as the earlier wind drops, temperatures around 9 degrees C (49F) as the teams line up to belt out their respective anthems. Game on. First lineout to Georgia, followed by a knock-on from the Scots gives the big Georgians a chance to show what they can do in the Scotland half. A drop goal attempt at the 22 by Kvirikashvili just flies wide. A welly boot from Parks gives Scotland their first real chance this evening as Ford throws in 5m out. A knock-on by Nick De Luca means Georgian pressure has led to four handling mistakes to date from the blues. A good scrum from the heavier Scotland pack but they’re penalised for a fifth handling error – holding on to the ball in the tackle. Fifteen minutes gone and no score.Georgia opt to kick the penalty from 52m out – Kvirikashvili has the direction and the distance and it sails beautifully between the uprights to put the Georgians ahead (0-3) after 16 minutes. Scotland pile on the pressure and get a penalty within two minutes. Dan Parks pulls the kick low and left of the posts.Good work between the Lamonts, solid numbers and a great scrum from the Scots. Forward ball from the opposition gives Parks another chance right in front of the posts. This time he nails it as the rain lashes down. (3-3 after 23 minutes) A third penalty opportunity for Parks goes astray after 26 minutes. The white line of Georgia maraudes up the field and Scotland have to front up, with good support work by Sean Lamont, De Luca and Evans but it’s turnover ball and Georgia kick to touch.Continued pressure from the Scots and it’s another penalty, with Parks going for the sticks again; a sharp angle but he strikes it confidently and cleanly to put Scotland ahead 6-3 after 32 minutes. With five minutes to go, scrappy play from the Georgians and solid defence by Scotland – warning from referee Clancy about truck-and-trailer by Georgia and the next advantage goes to the Scots. After Rory Lawson’s kick is charged down, Parks sees the chance and goes for the drop goal – sails between to posts to increase Scotland’s lead to 9-3 with three minutes of the first half to go. Parks takes his eye off the ball with an attempt to kick to touch for half time, Georgia seize the advantage and push for the line – and a real threat to the scoreline is saved by the whistle.Half time: Scotland 9-3 GeorgiaThe conditions haven’t abated as the second half kicks off, slippery underfoot and balls sliding from the grip. Good collection of the high ball from Ross Rennie and Parks follows up with a solid kick to touch. Great running lines from the Scots but they fail to hold on to the ball, getting in to the 22 again.Turnover ball and Ross Ford takes the ball on but he’s pushed into touch and it’s a lineout for the Georgians. A great steal from Jim Hamilton, to Rennie, Rory Lamont and Evans but the ball’s spilled. A drop goal attempt from the Georgians is low and short as Parks picks up and clears. Still 9-3 after 50 minutes. Great performance by Ross Rennie, to date, as he matches brain with brawn to rip the ball away from the opposition, subsequently cleared by Parks. Good chip kick from Parks is picked up by Evans, Hamilton charges through and starts to expose some holes in the Georgian defence. A huge clearance by Kvirikashvili fails to be collected cleanly by Sean Lamont. Georgia are penalised for not releasing the ball but fail to capitalise on the advantage as the game begins to lose its shape – still no scoring in this half with majority of possession attributed to the Georgians. A collapsing front row gives another penalty to Scotland as Parks lines up the kick – no change in the scoreline as the attempt veers wide. Sixteen minutes left on the clock.Rory Lamont tiptoes down the wing, looking for a gap, he passes to Hamilton but he’s bundled away. Still no movement from the bench from Scotland. Another penalty for Scotland following an offside for Georgia – Gray and Paterson getting warmed up on the sidelines. Parks increases the gap as he finds the space between the uprights to make it 12-3 after 70 minutes. As Richie Gray comes on for Nathan Hines and Chris Paterson replaces Rory Lamont, Scotland’s penalty is matched by a similar score from Kvirikashvili who makes it 12-6 after 72 minutes.Georgia penalised for coming in at the side and another penalty – Parks elected to kick, having nailed three from six attempts to date today. Make that four from seven and Scotland are 15-6 ahead with five minutes left on the clock. De Luca is penalised for being offside, Georgia kick to the corner and it’s a lineout 5m from Scotland’s line. Georgia knock on and we’re in the last minute, it’s advantage Scotland, Euan Murray screaming for the ball to be kicked to touch and Parks duly obliges.Full time: Scotland 15-6GeorgiaScotland team v Georgia in Rugby World Cup Pool BWednesday 14 September at Rugby Park, Invercargill, kick-off 7.30pm local time 15 Rory Lamont (Toulon)  14 Max Evans (Castres) 13 Nick De Luca (Edinburgh) 12 Graeme Morrison (Glasgow Warriors) 11 Sean Lamont (Scarlets) 10 Dan Parks (Cardiff Blues)  9 Rory Lawson (Gloucester) Captian 1 Allan Jacobsen (Edinburgh) 2 Ross Ford (Edinburgh) 3 Euan Murray (Newcastle Falcons) 4 Nathan Hines (Clermont Auvergne) 5 Jim Hamilton (Gloucester) 6 Alasdair Strokosch (Gloucester) 7 Ross Rennie (Edinburgh) 8 Kelly Brown Vice-Captian (Saracens)  Penalties: Parks (23m, 32m, 70m, 75m)Drop goal: Parks (37m) Substitutes 16 Dougie Hall (Glagsow Warriors) 17 Geoff Cross (Edinburgh) 7 caps18 Alasdair Dickinson (Sale Sharks)19 Richie Gray (Glasgow Warriors) (on for Hines, 71m)20 Richie Vernon (Sale Sharks)21 Chris Cusiter (Glasgow Warriors)22 Chris Paterson (Edinburgh) (on for Rory Lamont, 71m) Georgia Revaz Gigauri; Irakli Machkhaneli, David Kacharava, Tedo Zibzibadze, Alexander Todua; Merab Kvirikashvili, Irakli Abuseridze (capt); Dimitri Basilaia, Mamuka Gorgodze, Shalva Sutiashvili; Vakhtang Maisuradze, Levan Datunashvili; David Zirakashvili, Jaba Bregvadze, David Khinchagishvili.
