Great numbers and pass from Laidlaw to Gray sees the tall boy loup over the line for his first international try – a rare missed conversion from Laidlaw – 17-14.Ireland reply minutes later with a try from Trimble, the conversion attempt wide to give the home side an eight-point cushion going into the break.Half time: Ireland 22-14 Scotland Five minutes into the half, Murray comes on for Cross and ireland are on the surge. A quick penalty taken by Earls ends in a struggle on the line between Bowe and Morrison but no try given.Cusiter comes on for Blair, Ireland make a trio of substitutions and Laidlaw replaces Jackson to complete the Glasgow half-back pairing. Rennie comes off and is replaced by Vernon. Thumping clash of heads ends Lee Jones’ involvement in the match as he’s replaced by Matt Scott, making his international debut. Into the last 20 minutes and no scoring in the second half. Ireland making inroads and unsettling the Scots. Penalty to Ireland, taken by Sexton to put ireland a further three points ahead – 25-14.Yellow card for Evans, for a light tug on a green sleeve, leaves Scotland with 14 men for the remaining seven minutes of this game.
