BT Murrayfield acts as the perfect stage

Scottish Rugby has announced an initiative to support Scotland’s aspiring music talent using the four upcoming Autumn Nations Series matches, with a selection of artists being offered the chance to play live to the crowds at BT Murrayfield!

Artists have been invited to submit their music to support the promotional content of the Autumn Nations Series campaign, a number of whom will be given the opportunity to perform on one of the biggest sporting stages in Scotland.

Scottish Rugby’s Head of Group Marketing & Commercial, Toni Blackhurst, said: “It has been a tough 18 months for us all and we can not wait to welcome fans back to BT Murrayfield next month. We have still been able to enjoy sport, even if it hasn’t been in person, but we appreciate that some industries haven’t had the same opportunities.

“The performing arts and music industry, which survives off live events, is only just seeing some recovery. We wanted to give some aspiring acts a kick-start to their return by inviting them to join us at BT Murrayfield this year.”

In addition to the opportunity to play live at BT Murrayfield, artists will have the chance for their work (fully credited) to be heard by the Scottish Rugby audience over social media and our website. The channels have substantial reach, internationally as well as domestically, so it is a great way for new music to be heard.

Interested artists can visit the dedicated page on the Scottish Rugby website to see further information and details on how to submit your music.

Scotland’s third fixture of the campaign against South Africa will be in front of a capacity crowd following yesterday’s confirmation that tickets to the match are now sold out. Tickets are still available for Scotland’s other Autumn Nations Series fixtures against Tonga (Saturday 30 October), Australia (Sunday 7 November) and Japan (Saturday 20 November).

Tickets are available via the Scottish Rugby Ticket Centre

Scottish Rugby has worked with the Scottish Government throughout the COVID-19 pandemic and, with all seats at BT Murrayfield available for Scotland’s forthcoming season of matches and capacity crowds are expected. Supporters can be reassured that all relevant safety and security measures will be in place to ensure BT Murrayfield continues to be a safe venue to visit.*
