Head Coach Gregor Townsend said: “It’s one of the best week’s of preparation we could get, playing against the number three team in the world.

“Last weekend the crowd were great before the game, during the game and after, and our players responded really well from that. That backing is really special to us.

“To now play France another week on with another group of players, it’ll be a great experience.”
