Scotland international matchdays at Scottish Gas Murrayfield are big, busy events. To avoid queues at the turnstiles, we always strongly encourage everyone coming to plan their journey well in advance and to get to the stadium early on the day. TICKETS & PASSES

All Scotland match tickets and Scotland Season Passes are issued via the Scottish Rugby Ticketing App, which are scanned at the turnstiles for entry into the stadium.

Already downloaded the app?
If you already have the Scottish Rugby Ticketing app, please check and ensure you have downloaded the latest version. Once you have bought your tickets, they will appear in your app. If you’ve bought a few tickets for family or friends, transfer them to each person in your group once they have downloaded the app to their smartphone. (You don’t need to do this for children’s tickets).

Walking times to Scottish Gas Murrayfield from the city centre

GETTING TO SCOTTISH GAS MURRAYFIELD

Scottish Gas Murrayfield and Hive Stadium next door (where Scotland Women and Scotland U20 home games are played) is part of the Murrayfield campus located to the west of Edinburgh. The campus is well served by public transport and is only a 45-minute walk from the city centre. Plan your journey by checking your travel providers website for all of the latest information ahead of your day.

By Train
Buy tickets in advance either at staffed stations, by phone (0344 811 0141) or at scotrail.co.uk.

By Tram
Edinburgh’s tram line runs from Edinburgh Airport into the city centre and there’s a stop at Murrayfield, exit from which takes you onto Roseburn Street which runs alongside Scottish Gas Murrayfield. Tickets must be purchased prior to boarding trams. You can either use the ticket vending machines at trams stops or pre-purchase tickets on the Transport for Edinburgh App. To find out more and to pre-purchase your tram tickets visit edinburghticket.com.

By Bus
Lothian Buses run several routes from across Edinburgh and the Lothians, including direct links to Scottish Gas Murrayfield from the city’s Ingliston Park and Ride, and connections from Edinburgh city centre, Edinburgh airport and West Lothian, we’ve got your travel covered. Remember to charge your phone to use the official Bus & Tram App as well as the Scottish Rugby Ticketing app.

On Foot
The Murrayfield campus is approximately a 45-minute walk from Edinburgh city centre. From Princes Street head to Shandwick Place, which leads on to Atholl Place, then onto Haymarket Terrace. Continue and either turn left onto Roseburn Street at the Roseburn Bar (for the south turnstiles) or continue and turn left onto Riversdale Crescent at the Murrayfield Bar (for the north turnstiles). Please note that both sets of turnstiles provide access to the West Fan Village and the whole stadium campus.

By Car
There is no parking at Scottish Gas Murrayfield. Also, please note there is no parking available in the streets around the stadium on matchdays. Please see the Traffic Scotland event day webpage for any up to date information.

Park’n’Ride
There are seven park and rides operating in and around Edinburgh. Visit The City of Edinburgh Council website for information on the park and rides in Edinburgh.

GETTING INTO SCOTTISH GAS MURRAYFIELD

Turnstiles
There are turnstiles all around the stadium so you can enter easily no matter where you are coming from.

  • NORTH: (beside Murrayfield Ice Rink)
  • NORTH EAST: (off Roseburn Crescent)
  • SOUTH & EAST: (off Roseburn Street)
  • WEST: (off Roseburn St, Baird Drive and Riversdale Cres.)

West Fan Village
This is the area behind the West Stand next to Edinburgh Rugby’s Hive Stadium. You can access this area before turnstiles open as follows:

From the South and East:
Off Roseburn Street, along the pedestrian walkway by side of the rail/tramline near the bridge.

From the North:
Off Corstorphine Road, via Riversdale Crescent and the Ice-Rink Car park.

From the West:
Off Baird Drive, over Baird Drive Bridge.

Remember Scottish Gas Murrayfield is located in a residential area so please be respectful of our neighbours when arriving and leaving the stadium.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Bags: no bigger than A4
For security reasons supporters are urged where possible not to bring bags to Scottish Gas Murrayfield. Bags larger than A4 size (21cm x 30cm) will not be permitted unless required for medical or childcare reasons. Bags A4 size or smaller will be searched prior to entry into the stadium. There is no bag drop facility at the stadium, but the links below will show relevant bag-drop locations around the city.

What not to bring

FACILITIES AT THE STADIUM

Toilets
There are additional toilets placed around the stadium periphery and in the West Fan Village. These can be identified by our ‘Lads’, ‘Lassies’ and ‘Accessible’ signs. A gender-neutral toilet is located in the West Fan Village next to Hive Stadium.

Changing Places Toilet
A Changing Places toilet is situated on the ground floor of the West Stand, next to the existing disabled toilets. The facility, which includes a height-adjustable adult-sized changing bench and tracking hoist system, provides adequate space for a disabled person and up to two carers.

Baby changing facilities
There are changing units in the disabled toilets in the lower West (South) stand area and in the lower West (North) stand area. The doors have the appropriate baby changing signs on them. There is also a parenting room, accessible from the concourse behind the East stand (North corner) – please ask one of our Blue Crew volunteers or a steward for access to the facility. A second parenting room is located in the West Fan Village, beside Hive Stadium.

Please Note: Limited Cash Payments
In the main, Scottish Gas Murrayfield is a cashless stadium. As such, there is no cash withdrawal facilities onsite and the majority of bars and catering units are card / contactless only. However, a limited number of units will accept cash – please speak to any of our Blue Crew who are located around the stadium who will be able to direct you to the nearest unit.

Our Scottish Rugby Macron stores accept both cash and card payments, along with our programme sellers and RefTalk vendors.

Information and Blue Crew Volunteers
Our knowledgeable Blue Crew volunteers will be able to help you with any questions you may have about the game, the stadium and the events of the day. Look out for their blue jackets.

AT THE STADIUM: THINGS TO SEE & DO

Merchandise at The Scottish Rugby Store & Marquees
The Scottish Rugby Store, situated in the lower south-west corner of the stadium, and the merchandise marquees behind the North and East stands will all be open from general turnstiles opening and again after the final whistle.

Scotland Team Arrival
Give the Scotland players a rousing welcome to Scottish Gas Murrayfield when the team coach arrives behind the West Stand.

Huge Range of Food
There are food units all around the stadium serving a variety of food. More details will be available nearer the game.

Bars
There are bars all around the stadium serving a wide range of drinks. More details will be available nearer the game.

Match Programme
The official match programme will be available from roaming sellers all around the stadium.

Ref Talk!
Battery operated handsets with earphones allow you to hear the referee throughout the game. They are available from sellers located around the stadium. (If for any reason you have issues with your handset please speak to someone at the Ticket Office in the East or one of the sellers located outside the Macron marquee at the North of the stadium or at the Macron store at the West.)

Announcements
We will consider all requests for PA announcements and ‘shout-outs’ which can be sent to [email protected]. However, it is at the discretion of Scottish Rugby whether we are in a position, time permitting, to read them all out.

Blue Crew
If you have any questions on the day, look out for one of our Blue Crew members (wearing blue jackets) who will be happy to help. During the game, contact your nearest steward (wearing a yellow jacket). There are stewards at the entrance to every section of the stadium.

Supporter Wellbeing
Scottish Rugby wants everyone who comes to Scottish Gas Murrayfield to have a great match day experience. Supporters are encouraged to be mindful of others while enjoying all that is on offer. Scottish Rugby does not encourage nor tolerate ‘booing’ of the opposition at any point during the game and asks all fans to refrain from engaging in this activity.

Feel unwell?
We have a full medical team on duty for your safety and wellbeing, including First Aid, paramedics and doctors. If you feel unwell, please contact your nearest steward, who will direct you to further help. The First Aid room is located at ground level in the south west corner of the stadium (near the Scottish Rugby store).

Lost property
If you mislay property in the stadium please contact your nearest steward. If you discover the loss after the event, contact our Facilities staff at [email protected].

  • Tickets & Ticketing App

    Ticket Office Opening Times
    If at all possible any requests, concerns and queries ticket holders may have are made by calling or emailing the Customer Services team prior to the match ([email protected])
    The Ticket Office itself is not open to the public on a non-event day.

    Phonelines
    Lines are open on 0131 378 1600, 10am-4pm Monday to Friday (excluding Wednesdays as lines are closed). Extended match week phoneline opening hours: Thursday-Friday 10am-6pm. See individual match pages for Ticket Office opening times on the day of the match.

    Where can I buy match tickets?
    Tickets can only be purchased directly from Scottish Rugby website through the link provided here: https://www.eticketing.co.uk/scottishrugby/

    How do I receive my match tickets?
    All Scotland match tickets are delivered via the Scottish Rugby Ticketing App as part of our ongoing drive to improve access, security and sustainability on Scotland matchdays. Your Scottish Rugby ticketing account, through which you purchased your tickets, will link your tickets to the App using the mobile number registered to your ticketing account. Your match tickets will then be sent to the app on your device, to be scanned at the turnstiles at Scottish Gas Murrayfield for entry into the stadium.

    We encourage all ticket purchasers to download the app as soon as possible. Tickets for both matches have now been issued, if you have not received your tickets to your app, please check that the mobile number on your ticketing account is correct and up to date. If you have any issues, please contact the Customer Services team by emailing [email protected].

    I’ve lost my ticket(s)/passes or they haven’t arrived, can you reprint them?
    If you have not received your mobile tickets on your app, by 4 working days before the match, please contact us by email on [email protected] or by replying to your confirmation email. This email should include your full details, the section and seat numbers booked and the reason you are not in possession of the tickets.

    I need to upgrade a concession ticket to a full adult ticket. What should I do?
    Please contact the Customer Services team prior to the day of the game on 0131 378 1600 (opening hours see above) with your ticket details and a member of staff will be happy to help. Whilst upgrades can be processed on match-days if plans change last minute, we strongly advise supporters to do this as far in advance to avoid delays. NOTE: Tickets can only be upgraded on the day of the match by the ticket purchaser.

    I have a Scotland Season Pass – how do I enter the stadium?
    All Season Passes are issued digitally via the Scottish Rugby Ticketing App. These will be scanned on entry.

    I don’t have a ticket; can I get one outside the stadium on the day?
    We would encourage spectators to buy tickets in advance from the Scottish Rugby website. Supporters should not purchase tickets from any unofficial sources prior to or on match day.

    Can I buy and sell tickets anywhere else online?
    Scottish Rugby do not have an official secondary ticketing partner and therefore tickets should only be purchased from Scottish Rugby directly through the following link: https://www.eticketing.co.uk/scottishrugby/.

    Scottish Rugby actively discourage the activities of ticket touts and any tickets for sale on known secondary ticketing websites will be investigated and those seats will be cancelled.

    Can I bring my young child?
    Children under two are admitted free of charge provided they sit on the parent or guardian’s knee. Matches are however extremely busy events with large crowds and loud music which may not be suitable for very young children.

    Baby changing units are available in the accessible toilets in the lower West Stand in both the North and South corners. The doors are marked with baby changing signs.

    Scottish Gas Murrayfield offers two parenting rooms – the first is accessible from the concourse behind the East Stand (North corner). Please ask one of our Blue Crew volunteers or a steward for access to the facility. A second parenting room is in the West Fan Village, beside Hive Stadium.

    There is one dedicated buggy drop off point within the stadium. This is next to the South Tunnel. Please speak with your nearest steward to be directed.

    I have problems with my mobility; can I get assistance to my seat?
    To make your match day experience as relaxing as possible, our match day assistance team are able to meet you and assist you to your section.

    To request stadium support please e-mail [email protected] as early as possible and let us know what assistance is required. We do advise arranging this prior to match day as demand for this service is extremely high and may reach capacity.

    A limited number of wheelchairs are available to assist you on the day, please enquire for more information.

    My mobility has been affected since I bought my ticket. What if I’m physically unable to get to my seat?
    If there is any change in your circumstances, please contact the Customer Services team as soon as you can and we will try to find a more suitable seat for your circumstances where possible, subject to availability.

    What do I do if I find someone sitting in my seat with the same ticket, or if there’s a problem with my seat?
    Contact your nearest steward; they are there to help you. We strongly encourage that any issues are brought to our attention on the day in order that we can resolve during your visit.

  • Bag Policy: What can I bring to the matches?

    Can I bring a bag?
    Supporters are urged where possible not to bring bags to the stadium. In any case, bags larger than A4 size (21cm x 30cm) will not be permitted unless required for medical or childcare reasons.

    Anyone bringing a bag larger than A4 for medical or childcare reasons should go to a designated turnstile where bags will be searched and tagged prior to entry into the stadium. Please be aware that access via this route to the stadium may take slightly longer than through other turnstiles. All bags will be searched.

    Can I bring along my Bagpipes in their case?
    Yes. Bagpipes are an integral part of creating the very unique atmosphere that Scottish Gas Murrayfield is known for and will be permitted at events at Scottish Gas Murrayfield. All cases used in the transport of bagpipes will be searched before entry is gained. NOTE: Busking for money is not permitted within the Stadium grounds.

    Reuseable Water Bottles & Coffee cups
    Soft reuseable or refillable water bottles or small, refillable plastic/metal Coffee Tumblers under 600ml are permitted as long as they are empty (any contents will be poured out prior to entry). These can be refilled from the water fountains on the stadium concourses.

    Food
    You may bring small amounts of food into the stadium for medical or childcare reasons, or for your own use.

    Soft drinks & juices
    In line with other major venues, only sealed plastic bottles of water or soft drinks up to 500ml can be brought into the stadium. No cans will be permitted.

    Air horns
    Only mechanised air horns (blow-through or wind-up) are allowed inside the stadium. Pressurised containers are not permitted.

    Cameras
    Small amateur cameras are permitted, but large professional cameras are not. By small, we mean pocket-size digital cameras or SLR cameras with zoom lenses no more powerful than 300mm. Tripods are not permitted.

    Flags
    Yes! The more Scotland flags brought to the stadium the better – just make sure the sticks are no more that 1m tall and there’s no ‘pointy bit’ on the end.

    How can I find out about disability access?
    When you are booking, please state if you are have a disability and require special assistance, we can then take the steps to ensure your day goes as smoothly as possible. We can provide wheelchair access match tickets, disabled parking and also wheelchairs (by prior arrangement).

    Can we get parking for Hospitality?
    There is no parking at Scottish Gas Murrayfield for international games, unless you are a registered Blue Badge Holder (for the disabled), in which case a limited number of disabled spaces are made available and must be pre-booked at least 2 weeks prior to match day.

    Where do I go on matchday to access hospitality?
    Our Hospitality sales team will send out a pre-event information pack prior to the match, please check your emails or with your lead booker for this information prior to matchday.

    Can I bring a bag to the stadium?
    Bags brought into the stadium must be smaller than A4, a full bag search is completed upon entry into the stadium, please see the Scottish Rugby website for more details on prohibited items.

    What is the dress code for hospitality?
    The dress code is smart casual. We allow rugby tops, but no trainers or ripped jeans.

    How do I access the Hospitality Village?
    Entrance for Hospitality Village South, North 1 and 2 is as follows-
    Closest tram station is Balgreen Station
    – Exit tram at Balgreen Station
    – Head north on Balgreen Road and immediately turn right on Baird Drive
    – Take second left onto Baird Grove and then right on Saughtonhall Avenue
    – Follow signage across Saughtonhall Bridge to access Hospitality Village South
    Taxi/Buses
    – Exit vehicle on Corstorphine Road, head south on Riversdale Crescent
    – Follow road Riversdale Crescent for 300m to reach Saughtonhall Bridge, access point to Hospitality Village South

    Where are my seats for the game?
    Your seats are located in the Upper North West Stand, your exact seat numbers can be found on your ticket. If you require accessible seating, please get in touch as soon as possible.

    How do I access my tickets?
    All tickets are accessed via the Scottish Rugby Ticketing App. You can download the app by clicking here. For more information, please visit ASK Scottish Rugby.

    What is my table number?
    Your table number will be sent to your lead booker ahead of the match via email. Please ensure that you check this with your lead booker to ensure a smooth entry on the day.

    Can I bring a bag to the Hospitality Village?
    We highly discourage bringing any bags to the Village, however bags of smaller than A4 size will be permitted, and a full bag search is completed upon entry.

    What is the dress code for the Hospitality Village?
    The dress code is smart casual. We allow rugby tops, but no trainers or ripped jeans.

    Is the Village heated?
    Yes, the Village is heated, but we still recommend that you wrap up warm!

    Is there Half-Time Access?
    No. There is no access to the Hospitality Village during Half-Time.

    Can I use my vape or is there a smoking area?
    The Village is a no-smoking venue and you must not vape within the Village either. There will be a designated smoking area outside of the Village.
