Leia Brebner-Holden’s rugby journey began at Al Ain Amblers Rugby Club at the age of nine.
In the later years if her rugby journey, Leia represented UAE Sand Cats at U15 and U18 levels.
Upon returning to the UK, she earned rugby scholarships to Hartpury College AASE and Hartpury University.
Playing for Cheltenham Tigers, she contributed to winning the Women’s National Championship consecutively.
In 2024, Leia was named as a Transitional Player for the Celtic Challenge and featured for Edinburgh Rugby three times. The scrum-half earns Scottish Qualification through her mother, Lorna Brebner-Holden, who was born in Brora, Scotland.
Later that year, Leia was named in the Scotland squad for the Guinness Six Nations.
Beyond rugby, she works as a grounds maintenance operative.
