Matt Currie started playing rugby at Dumfries Saints RFC. He has also represented Merchiston Castle School and Super Series outfit Watsonians.
Currie made his Edinburgh Rugby debut against Munster in 2021, from which point he has reached 40 appearances for the Hive Stadium outfit.
His seven tries for Edinburgh include a score against Glasgow Warriors at Scottish Gas Murrayfield in the 1872 Cup last season and a productive campaign saw Currie named in the URC breakout stars of the season cohort.
A former Scotland U20 representative, Matt represented Scotland A against Chile on the 2022 Summer Tour. He was then called up for the 2024 Skyscanner Americas Tour and made his full international debut against Canada in Ottawa.
He scored his first try for Scotland against Chile in July 2024.
