On Saturday 18 July the “Flying Fijians”, will take on Scotland at Scottish Gas Murrayfield kicking off at 2:10pm. Fiji is playing its three ‘home’ games in the opening rounds of this year’s Nations Championship in the UK: against Wales (Round 1) in Cardiff; England (Round 2) in Liverpool; and finally, their Round 3 match against Scotland at Scottish Gas Murrayfield.
The last time the sides faced off at the Home of Scottish Rugby, Scotland secured a convincing 57-17 victory. However, a closely contested encounter in Suva last year, where Fiji secured a 29-14 win, raises the stakes of this Round 3 clash in the inaugural Nations Championship. This match promises to be a physical test as both sides look to establish their position in the table.
