After the huge success of Scotland Women’s first ever game at Scottish Gas Murrayfield earlier this year, the team returns to the home of Scottish rugby to play Ireland on the opening weekend of the 2027 Guinness Women’s Six Nations Championship.

The 2027 championship is moving to a ‘Super Saturday’ format in every round, with all games being played on a Saturday across five consecutive weekends. The Scotland v Ireland is the last of the three games being played on this opening weekend and fans coming to Scottish Gas Murrayfield for the game will be able to watch the earlier Wales v England game (kick-off 2.45pm) on the big screen in the West Fan Village: the perfect opportunity to see players in action on the same day from all four countries that make up the British & Irish Lions ahead of the historic first-ever Women’s British & Irish Lions tour – to New Zealand – later in the summer!

The last home game against Ireland – at Hive Stadium in 2025 – was a thriller won by Scotland with winger Fran McGhie scoring in the corner in the final play of the match.
