The new season, which is the fourth edition of the competition, will mark the start of a new chapter for both Scottish clubs, with newly appointed head coaches Louise Dalgliesh and Robbie Fergusson leading Edinburgh Rugby and Glasgow Warriors for the first time, respectively.
The new Celtic Challenge season will begin in December following the WXV Global Series, which will have seen many Edinburgh Rugby and Glasgow Warriors players feature with Scotland Women.
On the opening weekend on Saturday 5 December, Edinburgh Rugby will travel to Galway to face Clovers, whilst Glasgow Warriors make the journey to Wales to face Gwalia Lightning in Ystrad Mynach.
Edinburgh Rugby will play their first home match at Hive Stadium against Gwalia Lightning in round two, before hosting Glasgow Warriors in the festive derby the following week on Saturday 19 December.
Glasgow Warriors will feature at Scotstoun Stadium for the first time in the new season after the festive break, hosting Gwalia Lightning in round four on Saturday 9 January 2027.
The final round of regular fixtures will see Glasgow Warriors host Edinburgh in the rematch of the derby under the lights at Scotstoun on Friday 26 February.
And following the ten rounds of fixtures, the top four teams will progress to the play-offs, which will take place on Saturday 13 March The two highest ranked teams will host a respective semi-final with 1st facing 4th and 2nd battling against third for a place in the Celtic Challenge final in the last weekend of March.
Moving away from a neutral venue, the highest seed of the two winning semi-finalists will host the match that will determine the Celtic Challenge champions.

“With the fixtures now confirmed, there is a real sense of anticipation ahead of the new campaign, and we look forward to seeing both Scottish sides compete and continue to grow throughout the season.”
