International Women’s Day 2021

8 Mar 2021

Today Scottish Rugby marks International Women’s Day, a day dedicated to celebrating women around the world, by sharing stories from the community game in Scotland.

Rugby is one of the fastest-growing team sports in the world for women and girls; whether you’re tall or short, powerful or fast, no matter what age – rugby is a game for everyone.

This year’s theme for International Women’s Day is ‘Choose to Challenge’. Scottish Rugby spoke with representatives from six clubs across Scotland to find about how they choose to challenge.

Follow the links below to read about how women and girls in rugby have continued to thrive in the face of adversity, and a global pandemic.
