The world’s greatest rock 'n' roll band return to Europe this summer which includes huge show at Scottish Gas Murrayfield.

All of us here at Scottish Gas Murrayfield want to make sure you have all the information ahead of show day, therefore we have pulled together some key information.

Ticketing

Access Requirements

  • Q: I am a wheelchair user, will there be a designated area for wheelchair users at the concert?

    A: Yes, there are designated wheelchair viewing areas and accessible facilities. You must purchase wheelchair tickets to gain access to this area.

    The wheelchair viewing sections for concerts at Scottish Gas Murrayfield can be viewed on the ticket map and are situated in front of the South Stand.

    Please note, as part of our commitment to safety, we do not allow wheelchairs or walking aids on the pitch (excluding the wheelchair accessible platform). This is for the safety and comfort of all on the pitch.

  • Q: How do I purchase an accessible ticket?

    A: Customers can purchase Accessible tickets online through Ticketmaster by selecting a Wheelchair, Ambulant Disabled or Hearing Impaired ticket.

    • Wheelchair-Only Platform: Change ‘Ticket Quantity’ to 1 Wheelchair ticket (Free Companion ticket included along with Paid Wheelchair ticket).
    • Ambulant Disabled Seating: Change ‘Ticket Quantity’ to 1 Ambulant ticket (Free Companion ticket included along with Paid Ambulant Disabled Ticket)
    • Hearing Impaired (BSL): Change ‘Ticket Quantity’ to 1 Hearing Impaired ticket (Free Companion ticket included along with Paid Hearing Impaired Ticket)

    Please note that the Ambulant Disabled Seating ticket type will give you access to a specific ambulant-disabled seated area (this is not the accessible platform, which will have a limited number of stairs and accessible toilets close by.  It’s not suitable for wheelchair users/those who can’t navigate stairs.

     

    British Sign Language Tickets are for fans who require a Performance Interpreter for this show
    One person will be allowed one free PA/Companion ticket unless otherwise pre-agreed due to accessibility requirements.

    GA Standing/Non-Access Seating Companions
    Fans who don’t need accessible seating and are comfortable with fully standing and require a companion ticket should purchase the total number of GA tickets required. Contact Ticketmaster post booking to request a refund of the Companion ticket. The accessible ticket policy limits 1 free companion ticket to each accessible ticket purchased. Proof of eligibility must be provided.

    By purchasing an accessible ticket, you confirm you or a member of your party requires this position. The accessible ticket policy limits one free carer ticket to each accessible ticket purchased. Proof of eligibility/disability must be provided before the event, if you bought tickets online, you will be contacted by Ticketmaster no later than 72 hours after your order. Tickets may be cancelled if misuse is suspected/found.

  • Q: Can I access food and bar outlets close to the accessible platform?

    A: At various times throughout the event a member of the catering team will visit the accessible decks to take food and drinks orders. There is also a large variety of units available around the stadium.

  • Q: What facilities do you have on site for people with access requirements?

    A: Conveniently placed separate adapted and accessible toilets including a Changing Places toilet are located in the lower southwest corner of the stadium, along with accessible toilet facilities around the stadium.

    In addition, at Scottish Gas Murrayfield, we have a Stadium Support team who are on hand on event days to provide a wayfinding service and offer accessibility support within the ground.

    The accessible team at Murrayfield are committed to ensuring that our events are accessible to all.  We ask customers to apply for the accessible facilities they require in advance, such as BSL, Audio Description, Blue Badge Parking, and Sensory Room – please visit ask.scottishrugby.org to contact us directly.

    Please Note: You cannot request Accessible & PA Tickets via the venue, Accessible Tickets and PA/Companion tickets must be bought from Ticketmaster.

Security

  • Q: What security procedures will be in place at the concert?

    A: The safety and security of everyone connected to our events is of paramount importance; to achieve this there will be various security procedures in place.

    • All ticketholders will be searched before entering the venue.
    • Scottish Gas Murrayfield stadium enforce a strict A4 bag policy (30cm x 21cm x 21cm) for concerts. Bags larger than this size, unless for childcare or medical reasons, will not be permitted.
    • All bags will be searched before entry to the venue is permitted. Please note that bags do not need to be clear.
    • Where possible we recommend that ticket holders do not bring bags with them to ensure quick entry into the stadium.
  • Q: What are the prohibited items for the event?

    A: Please check back here closer to the show for further information.

  • Q: Is there a bag storage facility at the venue?

    A: No, there is not a bag drop facility at (or close to) Scottish Gas Murrayfield.

    Everyone who turns up to the venue with a bag larger than A4, unless for the reasons stated above, will be asked to deposit their bag in one of the many bag drop facilities located across Edinburgh.

Stadium Facilities

Transport

  • Q: Will there be parking available on the day of the concert at the Stadium for the public? 

    A: There is no public parking available at the stadium.

    A limited number of accessible parking spaces are available to accessible ticket holders who present a valid event specific car park pass (this pass must be requested in advance, and if a space is allocated will be distributed with your tickets), along with an accessible ticket.

    The accessible parking is in proximity to the stadium at Murrayfield Ice Rink (EH12 5XN).

    Please note, this car park is not open to all Blue Badge holders, access will only be granted if in possession of an event specific car park pass.

    Due to crowd egress and local road closures for the event vehicles parked in this area will be held until the roads are open again.

  • Q: Will there be coach parking available at the stadium?

    A: Coach and minibus parking is not available at Scottish Gas Murrayfield. Coaches and minibuses will be directed to parking areas along the A8 (Corstorphine Road).  It is vital that drivers co-operate and follow instructions and directions to ensure maximum capacity. The first vehicles to arrive will be parked nearest to the stadium.

  • Q: How do I get to and from Scottish Gas Murrayfield?

    GETTING TO SCOTTISH GAS MURRAYFIELD

    Scottish Gas Murrayfield is located to the west of Edinburgh and is well served by public transport and is only a 45-minute walk from the city centre.

    Plan your journey and know your travel options by checking your travel providers’ website for all of the latest information ahead of your day. Check with your travel provider for any changes to services and details of the last evening’s service.

    By Train

    Buy tickets in advance either at staffed stations, by phone (0344 811 0141) or at scotrail.co.uk. Plan ahead and ensure you check your travel providers’ website for any updates ahead of travel.

    By Tram

    Edinburgh’s tram line runs from Edinburgh Airport into the city centre and there is a stop at Murrayfield, the exit from which takes you onto Roseburn Street.

    Please note tickets must be purchased prior to boarding trams. You can either use the ticket vending machines at trams stops or pre-purchase tickets on the Transport for Edinburgh App. To find out more and to pre-purchase your tram tickets visit edinburghticket.com.

    By Bus

    Lothian Buses also run several routes throughout the city that service Scottish Gas Murrayfield. All Lothian buses accept contactless payments, or you can download the Lothian Bus mobile app to help plan your travel to the game. Visit lothianbuses.com and use their journey planner ahead of travel for specific information regarding routes on match day.

    On Foot

    Scottish Gas Murrayfield is approximately a 45-minute walk from Edinburgh city centre. From Princes Street head to Shandwick Place, which leads on to Atholl Place, then onto Haymarket Terrace. Continue and either turn left onto Roseburn Street at the Roseburn Bar (for the south turnstiles) or continue and turn left onto Riversdale Crescent at the Murrayfield Bar (for the north turnstiles).

    By Car

    There are various Park and Ride facilities in Edinburgh.

    Please note there is no parking available in the streets around the stadium on major event days.

    There will be road closures on the roads near the stadium – please visit the Edinburgh Council website for any planned road closures and information on the newly enforced Pavement Parking restrictions closure to the event. (Roads, travel and parking – The City of Edinburgh Council)

The stadium is situated in a residential area and Scottish Rugby asks you to please be mindful and respectful of local residents and their property when entering and leaving the ground. Please do not take any drinks with you when you leave, and please dispose of your rubbish in the bins provided.
