Blair to focus fully on Scotland
Glasgow Warriors and Scotland Assistant Coach Mike Blair will focus solely on the national team from the end of the season.
Blair – who joined Glasgow as Assistant Coach in 2016 – has operated in a dual capacity for club and country since 2017, with the remit of his current contract’s final year refined going into a Rugby World Cup season.
Blair said: “I’ve really enjoyed my time at Glasgow. The club gave me my first step into senior professional coaching three years ago, allowing me to develop and gain valuable experience.
“I’m proud to have been part of the Warriors set up and have loved working with the players and coaching team here. I am looking forward to finishing my time here on a high.
“I will then be able to focus my efforts fully on Scotland in preparation for the Summer Tests, Rugby World Cup and through to the 2020 Six Nations.”
Scotland Head Coach, Gregor Townsend, said: “I’m delighted that, from the end of the season, Mike will be able to focus fully on the national team in an important year for the Scotland squad.”
