Brown to bench for Scotland
Uncapped Glasgow Warriors hooker Fraser Brown will be on the bench for Scotland against South Africa tomorrow.Brown, 23, who only arrived at the Scots’ base in Nelspruit two days ago, will be among the replacements after Steve Lawrie – capped for the first time last week off the bench against Samoa – was ruled out through injury.Brown was called-up after the knee injury that cut short Pat MacArthur’s tour last week in Durban.Head coach Scott Johnson said Lawrie had been troubled by back pain throughout the week and there was insufficient improvement for him to be involved tomorrow.Should Brown take the field at the Mbombela Stadium he would become the tenth new cap on the tour.
