Stirling County visit Cartha Queen’s Park this evening (27 October, kick off 8pm) as they look to book their place in the top four.
County sit poised on three wins and three losses and a victory against Cartha would see them leapfrog Stewartry into the top half of the table before the league split.
The team is eager to build on some great performances and push for another win.
Team Manager of Stirling County, Lara Flint, said: “Stirling County have had a great season so far, achieving our best ever scores against Hills and Wandies.
“The game against Cartha is make or break for the league split for us and the fact we are in such a position is testament to the hard work put in by the players and coaches so far.”
A much-improved campaign on last year has seen County eclipse their single win at this point last season.
Flint said: “The whole team is relishing the opportunity to finish the first half of the league season with a top four split and we’re looking forward to starting the weekend with a good game of rugby. We’re coming off a loss against an experienced Wandies side but we are confident that we can prove our worth on Friday.”
County can look forward to home and away matches against the other confirmed top four finishers Hillhead Jordanhill, RHC Cougars and last year’s champions Murrayfield Wanderers should they book their place in the top half.
Elsewhere in the BT Women’s Premier League this weekend, Watsonians take on Ayr in the last game prior to the split.
Watsonians will be looking to cap off a strong showing following promotion with a third win while Ayr are looking for a maiden victory this season.
